Finding sunglasses to suit my face

If you wear glasses, you know how long it can take to select frames that look goodon you. The selections are limitless and varied. So, is there a way to make the process easier?

Ready? Get out the mirror. Because one way is to determine the shape of your face. Is it long and narrow? Wide? Round?

Where do I start?

You can begin by looking at the shape of your jaw. Is it strong and defined? Is it a more round shape?

Defined Jaw Line?

You’ve probably got a square face shape. Rounded frames soften the straight lines out; especially those that sit higher at the bridge of your nose.

Rounded Jaw Line?

If it’s rounder, and your face is widest at the cheekbones, yes, you are likely dealing with a round face. Frames with sharp angles and oversized frames will flatter your features.

If your forehead is wider than the rest of your face, an oval is what you are. You can get away with large, oversized glasses.

Finally, if your jaw narrows, you’re a heart-shape. Round and oval-shaped frames will work well on you.

Your face shape is a great start, but so is your coloring (ie, eyes, skin color, hair color and shape). Think about what color clothing makes your eyes pop—framing them with a deep color? Enhancing them with light or pastel colors? Or maybe you’re able to carry off a steel aviator.

Hopefully, this will get you started in the right direction, and make ordering online a bit more exacting.
